Situated in the middle of Stanhope National Park, our property faces the North beaches which PEI is famous for. You can walk, bike or drive to the beach, including Stanhope beach, Brackley beach or Covehead beach.
Within a 5km radius you can golf at Stanhope Golf & Country Club, go deep sea fishing at Richards Pier or Bike right in front of the property on to the confederation trail.
Our cottages are spaced well apart to give you privacy from your neighbours and the ability to unwind and relax, enjoying the sounds of the ocean and the salty air.
Welcome to the BLUE COTTAGE, which is our largest cottage on the property. The BLUE COTTAGE is at the front of the property and has a water view for your enjoyment. Sit on the patio and have your morning coffee watching the birds and cyclists
The WHITE COTTAGE is tucked away at the front of the property and offers an open concept with 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a Queen and the other bedroom has 2 twins. This cottage has a full bathroom with a tub and shower combination.
The CORAL COTTAGE is located in the back of the property. It has a full kitchen and a side deck which is accessible through sliding doors. This is a 2 bedroom cottage with Queen beds and dressers in both bedrooms. This cottage has a walk in shower and separate tub.

I've been spending parts, or all, of the summer on PEI for my entire life. For the last few years I have chosen Hopestan Acres for my annual getaway. It's located in the heart of the PEI National Park, which includes miles of the islands most beautiful beaches, the accommodations are cozy, clean and well equipped and the hospitality is what you would expect in this part of the country. I look forward to my trip there this year and for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your $300 deposit is refundable only if you give us notice 30 days or more before your travel date. After 30 days all refunds will be at our sole discretion and would only be considered in a few situations eg: COVID and travel restriction.
If your holiday is interrupted by further COVID restrictions before you arrive then your deposit will be returned. If you are already here and occupying the cottage and feel that you have to leave prior to checkout then unfortunately we can not return any portionof your payment.
We do have professional cleaner sanitize our cottages between visitors, however it is your responsibility to leave the cottage at least broom-clean and all garbage removed and disposed of according to PEI waste management regulations.
Sorry, we do not at this time allow pets.
Our cottages are rented by the week only. Check-in is at 4pm Saturday and check-out is no later than 10 am the following Saturday.
Unfortunately this is something we can not control especially in the current environment, so if you are delayed we can not pro-rate any refunds.
If the week that you are wishing to book is still shown on the availablility calendar then you can book.
During online booking your credit card will be charged a$300 deposit. We will contact you with further information after receiving your booking. You will be required to pay the remaining funds prior to occupancy and to agree to our “house rules”.
Yes , PEI has a harmonized sales tax (HST) of 15% which will be charged on all accommodation rentals.
While the number of “sleeping” guests is restricted to 4, we may increase this at the rate of $150 per person. Increased occupancy is at our discretion. Please note that as we normally restrict cars to 2 per cottage, increased traffic should be discussed with us as well prior to booking.
You can have day guests at the cottage within reason. We do not encourage “parties” meaning crowds as there are other guests on the property and they may not be disturbed.

Yes the water is perfectly safe.
Receptacles are provided in each cottage. Compostables are placed in the green cart, recyclables must be washed and placed in the blue bags and the rest in the black cart.
